§ 04

The film produced for Museos de Tenerife sets out to highlight the importance of the museums' hidden areas, showcasing the essential work that goes into preserving, researching and exhibiting the collections. Through a visual journey that links the different spaces of the museums spread across the island, the film reveals a world usually kept out of the public eye, yet fundamental to maintaining and protecting cultural heritage.

To achieve this we used innovative photographic techniques — hyperlapse, flashcut, timelapse and stop-motion — building a dynamic, technical visual style that gives the film a rhythm all of its own. One of the standout moments is a hyperlapse that travels from an old salon to a collection of historical photographs, where we then integrated more than 3,000 images by the celebrated photographer Vicente Pérez Melián, documenting the faces of the people of Tejina and their daily life.

This project does not only show the heritage value of the museum's collections, it also pays tribute to Tenerife's rich ethnographic history. By combining modern shooting techniques with a careful selection and assembly of historical imagery, we've made a film that invites the viewer to rediscover history from a fresh perspective.
