§ 01 — The role

At Flywus Studios we are looking for a filmmaker: an all-round camera and editing profile, able to deliver a piece from start to finish or to join a large crew as an operator, depending on what each production calls for.

We are not asking one person to do the work of a whole crew: on big productions the full team is there, with direction, cinematography, sound and electrics. What we want is a versatile profile that lets us size the crew to each project. In practice, the role moves between these scenarios:

  • On a commercial shoot, you operate camera within a full crew, focused solely on your role.
  • At an event or an interview, you go out with a light camera (an FX3 or similar), set up two or three lights if needed, take care of the audio, shoot, and then edit and deliver the finished piece.
  • Between shoots, you take part in the prep: equipment tests, media organisation and continuous improvement of our workflows.

If you enjoy switching contexts and having both set days and edit days, this role is built exactly for that.

What you will do

  • — Operate camera on shoots and events, ensuring the technical quality of every production.
  • — Set up lighting and capture basic audio on light productions.
  • — Edit video: cutting, basic colour correction, audio treatment and export for different formats and platforms.
  • — Manage media: backups, project organisation and clip labelling following the studio workflows.
  • — Take part in shoot prep, equipment tests and improvement of our audiovisual processes.

What we are looking for

  • — Experience operating professional gear (Sony, Blackmagic, Arri, RED).
  • — Solid video lighting knowledge: fixtures, softboxes, LEDs, shadow control and colour temperature.
  • — Audio capture: microphones, recorders, level control and noise reduction.
  • — Command of DaVinci Resolve or equivalent software: editing, basic colour, audio and export in different formats.
  • — Method and order in media management, and the ability to follow established workflows.
  • — Teamwork, good communication, attention to detail and a focus on deadlines and results.

Nice to have

  • — A degree in audiovisual communication or similar.
  • — Some motion graphics knowledge.
  • — Photography skills.

Conditions

  • — Full-time position with an immediate start.
  • — On-site work at our studio in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
